VACC has been supporting automotive businesses for over 100 years. Today, we employ over 500 apprentices across Victoria and Tasmania and have over 3,000 qualified tradespeople having completed their training through the program.
Our long history means we understand the pressures and realities of running a workshop. We’ve designed our apprenticeship program to meet both business needs and industry standards.
Taking Care of Employment and Admin
Apprenticeships are complicated – when you work with VACC we handle the contracts, payroll, compliance, and government requirements – removing the stress and administration that comes with direct employment
Payroll
VACC manages all apprentice wages, super, leave, and WorkCover. We make sure pays are accurate and on time, so you can focus on your business without the stress of payroll administration.
Admin
We handle contracts, compliance, and government requirements. From training agreements to progression records, we take care of the paperwork so hosting an apprentice is simple and hassle-free.
RTO
We coordinate enrolments and training with the TAFE. Our Field Managers monitor progress and step in if support is needed, keeping apprentices on track to achieve their qualification.
Support from Dedicated
Field Managers
Every business has a dedicated Field Manager who is on call to assist with any questions or concerns that may arise during the apprenticeship. Field Managers act as mentors for apprentices and a point of contact for the business. Regular in-person visits will be conducted to ensure that:
- Training progress and performance is monitored
- Any issues are resolved quickly
- Safety standards are maintained
- Feedback and advice are provided to both the apprentice and Host Business
