Since 1983, VACC Automotive Apprenticeships has supported thousands of apprentices with hands-on training, nationally recognised qualifications, and strong career pathways across the automotive industry.
Our Story
VACC Automotive Apprenticeships has been shaping careers in the automotive industry, supporting over 3,000 apprentices to qualification and employing more than 500 apprentices and trainees today across Victoria and Tasmania. As the industry’s peak body, we provide a secure pathway from the classroom to the workshop, backed by expert mentoring, tailored training, and strong connections with host employers.

From your first steps in the trade to advancing into leadership roles, our program is built to give apprentices and trainees the right opportunities, support, and skills to thrive.

Recruitment & Placement
We carefully recruit and assess candidates, then place them with host employers that suit their strengths and career goals. Every workplace is pre-screened for safety and compliance, ensuring apprentices begin their journey in a secure and supportive environment.
Training & Development
Apprentices combine hands-on workshop experience with nationally recognised training, gaining practical skills alongside formal qualifications. In addition, we provide supplementary training to strengthen technical knowledge, customer service, and workplace readiness.
Ongoing Support
Dedicated Field Managers visit apprentices regularly to provide mentoring, coaching, and guidance. They also step in to resolve disputes or arrange workplace rotations if required, helping to ensure every apprentice stays on track.
