As an Automotive Apprentice, you’re not just learning – you’re also an employee with important protections. These rights are in place to make sure you’re treated fairly, supported in your training, and kept safe while building your career.

Your Responsibilities

Being an apprentice is more than just learning the trade – it’s about showing professionalism every day. You’re expected to:

  • Represent VACC in a respectful, professional manner

  • Arrive on time, dress neatly, and avoid personal phone use during work hours

  • Respect the people you work with, along with their tools, equipment, and workplaces

  • Take part in all training, whether at TAFE or on the job, and make consistent progress
