Industry Leaders

OVER 100 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

VACC has been supporting automotive businesses for over 100 years. Today, we employ over 500 apprentices across Victoria and Tasmania and have over 3,000 qualified tradespeople having completed their training through the program.

Our long history means we understand the pressures and realities of running a workshop. We’ve designed our apprenticeship program to meet both business needs and industry standards.

About VACC

Taking Care of Employment and Admin

When you partner with VACC, we become the legal employer of the apprentice. This means you can focus on running your business while still giving apprentices the real-world experience they need. We handle the contracts, payroll, compliance, and government requirements – removing the stress and administration that comes with direct employment.

Payroll

VACC manages all apprentice wages, super, leave, and WorkCover. We make sure pays are accurate and on time, so you can focus on your business without the stress of payroll administration.

Admin

We handle contracts, compliance, and government requirements. From training agreements to progression records, we take care of the paperwork so hosting an apprentice is simple and hassle-free.

RTO

We coordinate enrolments and training with the TAFE. Our Field Managers monitor progress and step in if support is needed, keeping apprentices on track to achieve their qualification.

Support from Dedicated
Field Managers

Every apprentice is assigned a Field Manager who regularly visits your workplace. Field Managers act as mentors for apprentices and as a point of contact for your business.

They will:

  • Monitor training progress and performance.
  • Help resolve any issues quickly.
  • Ensure safety standards are maintained.
  • Provide feedback and advice to both the apprentice and the Host Employer.

Having this dedicated support helps reduce risks, keeps apprentices on track, and ensures a smoother experience for your business.

Meet the team

Pre-Screened and Work-Ready
Apprentices

Before joining your business, all apprentices go through a strict recruitment process. This includes aptitude testing, medical checks, and a two-day induction covering workplace safety, conduct, and industry expectations.

We also ensure that Host Employers meet health and safety standards before an apprentice is placed. You can feel confident knowing apprentices are both prepared and supported from day one.
