Undertaking a pre-apprenticeship course and having an insatiable desire to learn and tinker with motor cars has earned Jai Lindsay the Pursuit in Excellence Award.  This award was presented to Jai at the Box Hill Institute Trade Awards Night on Tuesday 29 April 2014 for outstanding efforts in his pre-apprenticeship course. 

Three VACC apprentices recently competed in the regional WorldSkills competition that was conducted at Chisholm TAFE in Dandenong on Friday 6 December.

WorldSkills is an organisation that provides young people an opportunity to gain new skills, compete against their peers in their chosen trade and fast track their skills and career development.

Working with the pit crew for the Celebrity Challenge Race at the upcoming 2014 Australian Grand Prix is one of the prizes that VACC apprentice Paul Mills has won for being the top Mazda Apprentice of the Year for Victoria and Tasmania.
Recognition of an outstanding attitude, teacher observations, feedback and class participation at Fiat Chrysler School has been enough to win VACC apprentice Matthew Frearson the 2013 Top Fiat Chrysler Apprentice of the year.
Darcy Tremayne has just been awarded the winner of the VACC Apprentice of the Year at the recent Kangan Institute gala evening awards ceremony.
